Sonatina Album for the Piano (Book & CD) (Alfred CD Edition) [Plastic Comb] Review

I have the same Sonatina album , but a different edition without the ring binding. It is really difficult to open flat. The ring binding is really useful. The CD recording is not too clear though. The sound is a little fuzzy.

Piano Concerto in Full Score [Paperback] Review

A well presented , easy to follow score. This is a must for any lover of this concerto. It is worth buying to appreciate both the simplicity and complexity of the piano part. Franz Liszt apparently played it at sight - how good was he! Great product - highly recommended.

Product Description:
This stirring concerto is one of the most popular ever written, and one of the most recognizable of all musical works in the standard repertoire. It is filled with youthful ebullience-Grieg was 25 when he composed it-and great melodic inspiration, much of it derived from Norway's rich folk music tradition. Deeply Romantic, with thrilling melodies and rich harmonies, it is the only piano concerto Grieg would compose. Reprinted here from the authoritative full-score edition published by C. F. Peters of Leipzig.

Isidor Phillip - Exercises for Independence of Fingers - Book 1: Piano Technique (Piano Method) [Paperback] Review

Place your hand, completely relaxed, palm down flat on your desk. Now gently curl your middle finger back under your hand so that your hand will be slightly raised yet supported by your tucked under middle finger. Your thumb, index finger, ring finger and pinky should be extended outward and spread evenly. Raise up only your thumb. NO PROBLEM. Next your pinky..., now your index finger. Finally your ring finger. BIG PROBLEM. As a piano player your ring finger is by far your weak link in developing technical dexterity. This book with it's exercises changes that! A must for anyone wishing to become a serious player. And don't forget book two of this series! Practice on!
