Danse Macabre and Other Works for Solo Piano [Paperback] Review

1: The music is REALLY hard. Saint-Saens was not an easy man.
2: Franz Liszt isn't that great at transcribing this title piece.
3: Everything else is great though.

It hasn't happened yet, but I sense that the book is going to fall apart soon. So learn bookbinding and keep it in BETTER condition for cheap.

What the above review failed to mention is that the "Muzurkas, Poems,and Impromptues" book contains all of Scriabin's piano music exceptingthat which is contained in the "Preludes and Etudes" and the"Piano Sonata's" books. All three of these books are published byDover and are not altered to death buy rotten editors. Comprehensiveeditions of composer's works are very valuable and often a huge oversightin the unusually chopy realm of sheet music. The book is also made as goodas paperbacks get.

Worship Suite for Trumpet and Piano: Instrumental Duet Series, Book 2 (Lillenas Publications) [Paperback] Review

If you have a trumpeter and pianist in your church, this is an excellent duet book.The arrangements are fun and not too demanding on the piano, requiring decent proficiency but not excessive virtuosity.Lloyd Larson always, in my experience, does great work and this book is no exception.Also, the trumpet part is included on a separate removable section, so you only need the one book to perform the duets.Some of the pieces do get a little high on the trumpet, but this tends to be exception, and in most cases the trumpet player can just drop down a third or whatever and still sound good.As a church pianist, I've had some of the most enjoyment playing pieces from this book with our trumpet player, and the congregation has loved the arrangements.

Toco guitarra a 17 anos e a uns 3 entrei para o mundo do home studio e da música eletrônica. Minha completa ignorância de teclado me causa certas dificuldades. Dar uma pequena ralada (pequena, a parada é bem boba) nessas músicas foi divertido e me ajudou bastante. Não ganhou mais estrelas porque é um livretinho ridículo caro demais pro que é. Se vc não sabe ler nada ou não tem um professor que leia pra vc, não desperdice teu dinheiro!!!

Poems, Prayers and Promises: The Art and Soul of John Denver (Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook) [Paperback] Review

Being a huge JD fan, and a guitar player, I felt compelled to buy the song book.I wish all the songs had tabulature however, since I currently cannot read standard notation.I also wish Cherry Lane had put some additional John Denver photo's and other stories from others.The book is good and I recommend it to anyone who is a JD fan will get a lot out of it.
I would have given this 5 stars, but due to the things mentioned above, I feel like 4 is fair.
Sure do miss the music and the man!
