The Big Book of Soul (Big Book of Songs) [Paperback] Review

I ordered this for my boyfriend expecting there to be a lot of great classic hits, but there weren't. Maybe a quarter to a third of the songs were recognizable to us, and we listen to a lot soul music on the oldies stations and such.

Ultimate Christmas (E-Z Play Today Notation) [Paperback] Review

This songbook was just the ticket to get me into the Christmas spirit.Although it is written for piano and organ, I use it with my alto sax.I just ignore the cord notation.

PS The font size is large and easy to read for those who might need some visual enhancement.

Steely Dan - Two Against Nature (Pvg) [Paperback] Review

As with all "Piano-Guitar-Vocal" transcriptions, this book is basically a set of lead sheets for the songs on Steely Dan's exceedingly excellent record "Two Against Nature". So you get what you expect from such things...i.e.: the vocal melody and the main melodic musical themes in standard notation (priceless-bass and treble clef, of course) with the little chord boxes for a guitar to play along. The transcriber did a great job nailing the complex chord structures...keep in mind though that the boxes are not necessarily indicative of the actual inversions that the guitar is playing...however, the harmonic structure is absolutely there. So this will not deter real players from using this helpful resource as an enlightened player will take the ball and run with it. Another important work from these truly amazing american songsmiths. This is an EXCELLENT book.

Pedal board is a necessary feature for the Casio PX330.It has simple installation and actually adds stability to the piano stand.The piano and stand are black, however, the pedal board is gray.It still looks nice, but perhaps would have looked better in black.But aside from appearance, the whole Casio design is excellent.It's a fine piano to have fun with, and has all the features you could want.The Pedal board works fine.I'm very pleased with the purchase, the price, and the quality.The Casio PX330 with the Pedal Board is a great piano for any home, very sleek in design, doesn't take up much room, and sounds great!
