This songbook was just the ticket to get me into the Christmas spirit.Although it is written for piano and organ, I use it with my alto sax.I just ignore the cord notation.

PS The font size is large and easy to read for those who might need some visual enhancement.

There are too many wonderful songs, each a treasure, to mention them all.It is enough to say that the best from Berlin's movie musicals are included here. Among the many are "Sisters" and the title song from White Christmas, "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails," "Cheek to Cheek," and "Steppin'Out."My friends and I have enjoyed this book so much I am ordering others in the Berlin series.A great collection of songs by one of America's greatest composers.

This is the best keyboard chord chart book that I have found in a long time!It goes through an explination of chord types and their symbols before showing the chords themselves. It includes pictures of how the chords look on the staff, a drawing of a keyboard with the notes shaded in that are included in the chord, and even an actual picture of how a right have would look playing the chord!They are arranged in an easy-to-find way and includes both the notation for treble and bass clef.This is a wonderful book for ANY keyboard player looking to expand their knowledge on chords, or to just confirm any questionable chords.I highly recommend this book.

The Definitive Jazz Collection (Definitive Collections) [Paperback] Review

No "fake book", or "real book" this.You get full, well-thought-out harmonizations.This isn't how Jazz pianists acquire their numbers, but hey, this graduate of the weekly visit to the traditional read-the-music-and-play-it-exactly-as-written piano teacher likes it just fine this way.Having played through about 25% of the songs, I'll say there are no really bad arrangements, and quite a few very good ones.The technical difficulty is toward the higher end of the non-classical stuff you find in the music stores -- the average song is about as hard (if you want to play all the notes) as a Chopin Waltz or a Clementi Sonatina.

'80s and '90s Rock (Paperback Songs) [Paperback] Review

This book has many popular songs written in a lot of easy chords, but it's up to the player to figure out how it is played which can be tricky sometimes.I think the book should have been made a bit bigger.I kept having to stop to turn the page whereas if it was larger that the whole song would have fit in a double page spread.
