The Joy of Christmas (Joy Of...Series) [Paperback] Review

I've had this piano book since I was a child playing piano. I've now been teaching piano for 27 years, and this is the most basic Christmas book there is. It has all of the standard Christmas songs with basic chords the way people are used to hearing them. There is no jazz, unusual rhythm, or other surprises. It's the one that you'll need for everyone to stand around the piano and sing with. The music is for an intermediate player who wants to play Christmas carols, not piano solos.

A Souvenir Disney Songbook: Favorite Songs from Disneyland and Walt Disney World [Paperback] Review

What makes this book a great find is that it includes many songs for rides that have either been refurbished or altogether removed from the Walt Disney World Resort (ie - Spaceship Earth's "Tomorrow's Child" and Kitchen Kabaret's "Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit") Also, one of my favorite songs, "Golden Dream" from Epcot's American Adventure is also included! The songs are fairly simple to play (guitar chords are written in) for any experience level. I'm so glad I found this book and added it to my collection!

There are too many wonderful songs, each a treasure, to mention them all.It is enough to say that the best from Berlin's movie musicals are included here. The Gabe Dixon Band - Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook Review

First off, let me say that if you haven't purchased Gabe Dixon's newest album, you must do that as you buy this book.It's amazing!I'm assuming that since you're looking for the songbook, you've already heard his songs.The book lives up to what I expected it to be:Piano tabs with the melody included in the notes, guitar tabs, and vocals.

I've had the book for about a day now and have played through the entire book.It has a medium level of difficulty and is pretty fun to play.My only beef about the book is that I wished it would include just the tabs that Gabe plays and not include the melody line embedded in it.I'm able to play around with the tabs a bit and sing the melody, but it would be nice to add some of the flair that Gabe includes (which i haven't been able to make up yet).However, that's how all of these songbooks are written so i guess i can't complain that much about it.That little tidbit shouldn't prevent anyone from buying this book.It's great and I highly recommend it!Great job Gabe, I've been waiting for your book for quite sometime!

This is purely a book of blues songs.This books contains well known as well as some more obscure blues pieces.The arrangements range from very basic to very complete. None of the arrangements provide extended"blues solos" or blues riffs"....(this sort of improvisationwill be up to you). The arrangements do however give you complete songs,with key, time-signature, and tempo markings. It also includes chords aswell as single note melodies AND it inclues bass lines.

Great American Country Songbook (Piano/Vocal/Guitar Songbook) [Paperback] Review

I bought this book for my husband - a classic country music lover and a guitar "picker".He was spent hours enjoying this book.I have anjoyed listening to him develop new skills and being serenaded.If you love classic country - you should buy this one.The chords are not for the stark beginner, but are still simple enough for those that are not highly accomplished.I love that it shows as well as names the chords, so if you don't know that chord you can easily figure it out.
