Keith Green The Ministry Years Vol.1 [Paperback] Review

When I was in my late teens to mid 20's and beyond, even to today, Keith Green's music has always spoken to my heart.Here I am today, 50 years old, and our 15 year old son has discovered Keith Green music, and loves it.It seems Keith's message and his music are timeless!Our son is taking piano lessons, and he really loves the song by Keith Green, "The Prodigal Son Suite", and he wanted the music to it in the worst way.I looked a lot of places for it, and when I came across this music book, which actually has the notes to the music, and not just the chords, I was elated.It made for a wonderful "stocking stuffer" for our son this past Christmas.He has begun to work on learning to play it, and is eager to be able to play the whole song, both here, and one day in heaven!

Supertramp - Greatest Hits (Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook) [Paperback] Review

This band is seriously underrated and often overlooked. I can't think of a better candidate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or for a VH1 Behind the Music (we've seen the Journey story like a thousand times already). Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies are outstanding song writers. These transcriptions are basic and may not be completely accurate in certain cases but this book is still great and these songs are so much fun to play- especially if you happen to have a Wurli or a keyboard with a good Wurli sound...and of course a 12 string guitar. It pretty much focuses on the band during their classic lineup (the only lineup that matters)- Roger Hodgson, Rick Davies, Dougie Thompson, John Helliwell and Bob Seibenberg. The only exception is the song Cannonball. Other than the song "I'm Beggin' You" I don't think any fans will miss any of the less inspirational material released since Roger left. Maybe one day the stars will again align just so and the original band will come together again- at least to accept a long overdue entrance into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... but until then these songs are a tremendous inspiration for musicians around the world and I highly reccomend this book.

Keith Green The Ministry Years 1980-1982 Vol 2 songbook [Paperback] Review

The music is accurate as far as I can tell.There are probably a few instances of faulty transcription, but that's to be expected.A very worthwhile buy for the competent piano player who is a fan of Keith Green's music and message.

Coldplay - Parachutes (Pvg) [Paperback] Review

I look forward to going home every night (and probably much to my neighbors' and roommate's dismay) to try to play and sing at the same time. The music is for the piano to accompany the rest of the band, so it doesn't always carry the melody.But it's awesome and not too bad.The abundance of sharps and flats may scare some, such as me, but in the end the chords are not too difficult; there is a lot of repetition.This is my favorite album of Coldplay, so I am particularly fond of many of the songs.I hope this helps!

I have NO idea what the guy above me is writing about.Certainly not THIS ITEM!In the first place it is published by Alfred, not Hal Leonard, and the thing is NOTHING BUT TAB AND CHORDS!This is as good as it is going to get if you want to play the songs from "Born To Run" on the guitar!
